Palangos gintaro muziejus
Palanga, Palangos gintaro muziejus
The estate of Count Feliks Tyszkiewicz invites you to dwell in the beauty of majestic amber exhibits. In these golden pieces of the Baltic Sea one can discover specimens of flora and fauna from over 50 million years ago. The highlight of the display is the Sun Stone, weighing 3,524 kg with the famously trapped lizard inside it. The exhibit presents many archaeological valuables as well as a wide collection of contemporary jewellery. You may study the objects closely by using magnifying glasses and mobile applications. The estate also unlocks the secrets to the life of the Tyszkiewicz family in Palanga.
The Chapel hall hosts new exhibitions and concerts.
