Event has passed.

The Museum of Applied Arts and Design is based in one of the buildings of the mid-16th century Lower Castle complex – the Old Arsenal, rebuilt in 1987. Revealed are the cultural layers of Vilnius city – the wooden buildings and floorings from 12th-14th centuries. One can also see the remnants of a 14th century defence tower that was unearthed by archaeologists as well as the only surviving 4-metre-tall pointed-arch gate, leading into museum spaces. The halls of the Old Arsenal today are perfect for modern exhibitions of Lithuanian and international applied arts and design.

The museum holds LNMA’s collection of visual and applied arts, purchased designer items, and archaeological findings that date back as far as the end of the 3rd millenium BCE.

The Museum of Applied Arts and Design host concerts, evenings, book discussions. Representational halls are available for rent, the bookshop is filled with souvenirs, art books, and albums published by LNMA.
